The Developers never actually did anything to help the game though, they mostly just kept pushing through updates that made the game even more heavily P2W. It had shitty graphics and the engine was horrifically built (not to mention so many memory leaks), but at that point in time it was an amazing game. You probably got to the point where I got and realized that the game was heavily P2W. Same here, I busted my ass getting my character gear and everything just for it all to be irrelevant at the end. So, TL DR - I miss Runes of Magic, that's pretty much what all the giant wall of text is. It had all this potential to be amazing but instead it became a p2w cash grab which is something the Private Servers made sure to take advantage of by having people pay real money for diamonds to buy gear. I've only played Private Servers since leaving the game (despite the fact I've come back to the actual game from time to time to check on the old community) and it just seems like the game could've been something much more. It went from 1 to another and I haven't tried it since. It has horrible graphics, is(or was) a hog of a game despite it not actually needing to be and the people who published it didn't give a damn. The things I miss most are mainly the community and game play. It was something that's always intrigued me but I never got to see really happen. At the time, RoM was this new concept for me - dual class combinations. I was running on some crappy Laptop I bought for a couple hundred bucks at Best Buy(which is funny cause the guy at the store said it couldn't run WoW at all, did so for over 3 years) because I had just gotten my first check from my first real job. Not many will understand but RoM was seriously going to be one of the best MMOs for me during the time it was huge.
